Separation Evaluation

NOTE: Carry out this evaluation with the chopper or spreader not operating.

Observe the amount of grains coming out from the straw walker with the straw.

Losses through the straw walker may be a consequence of:

  • Cylinder speed too low.
  • Opening between the cylinder and the concave too large
  • Extension of the concave badly adjusted.
  • Curtain incorrectly tilted.

IMPORTANT: Make an adjustment and check the results before making further adjustments.
