b) Harvesting with the corn header
NOTE:
The procedures to identify corn losses are the same as those used for soy, wheat, etc. The difference is in the use of two frames, one to determine the loss of ears and one for the grains.
- Loss of Ears
Make a string frame of an equal length to the corn header and of a width that will total an area of 40 square meters (see example beside).
- Loss of Grains
Make a string frame of an equal length to the corn header and of a width that will total an area of one square meter (see the figure beside).
