Batteries

causym CAUTION: For safety reasons, before working on electrical system or engine, always disconnect battery negative cable.

Battery is located on left-hand side of machine.

Battery Charge

Check battery charge weekly.

Your combine's battery is equipped with a charge indicator (A) with thermal equalization. This indicator is embedded in battery lid. The charge indicator can indicate three different states (colors):

Green : Indicates that battery is 65% charged or above. The battery is sufficiently charged to operate. If recharging, interrupt as soon as indicator shows this state (green).

Dark : Indicates a charge below 65%. The battery must be recharged before commencing operations.

Light : Indicates that electrolyte level is low. This may have been caused by overcharging, a broken battery case or excessive tilting (more than 45°).

NOTE: When indicator is clear in color, battery must be replaced as recharging will have no effect.
