Service-Break-In Period

causym CAUTION: Engine must be turned off and key removed.

1. With engine turned off, lubricate all lubrication points.

causym CAUTION: Sound the horn before starting the engine to warn bystanders.

2. Operate engine for about 15 minutes and engage the various control levers. If there are any strange sounds, immediately disengage threshing system lever and engine. Determine and remedy the cause of faults before starting engine and threshing system again.
3. If all mechanisms operate satisfactorily, operate engine for about 15 to 30 minutes with all

mechanisms engaged. Then disengage all mechanisms and turn off engine. Check all bearings for overheating.
4. Check tension of all belts. Adjust if necessary.
5. Check tension of all chains. Adjust if necessary.
6. Retighten front wheel nuts to 420 N·m (42 kgm) (305 lb-ft). Retighten rear wheel nuts to 180 N·m (18 kgm) (130 lb-ft).

IMPORTANT: Wheel bolts must be clean and free of grease or any lubrication before installing.

Check tension of all belts and chains again after the first five hours of operation.
