Cleaning the Pre-Filter with Water Separator

If water and sludge accumulate in the cup (B), open the drain plug (A) with the engine stopped. Collect the contaminated fuel as it flows out with a suitable container. Close the drain plug (A). To clean the filter, proceed as described below:

Remove the cup (B).

Remove the filtering element (C) and carefully wash it with clean fuel. After cleaning the filtering element 5 to 10 times, replace the water separator (complete) with a new one.

After cleaning the pre-filter, assemble it inverting the disassembly sequence.
