Breaking-In the Engine
Your combine's engine is ready to operate normally, without need for break-in. However, it is convenient to be extra cautious during the first 100 hours:
1.
Watch engine oil pressure warning light and cooling system temperature gauge closely. If temperature gauge needle goes into the red range, reduce engine load. If needle does not return soon, shut off engine and determine cause of overheating.
2.
Check coolant level in expansion tank (B) more often during this period and make sure there are no leaks.
3.
Check engine lube oil level more frequently by means of dipstick (A) and make sure there are no leaks.
4.
Avoid running engine unnecessarily under very high or very low load, as well as without load (never more than 5 minutes).
