Changing Hydraulic Oil and Filter

Changing the hydraulic oil filter:

• According to intervals specified in this section.
• Whenever the hydraulic filter restriction warning light glows on the dash.

IMPORTANT: Observe utmost cleanliness when installing filter.

Loosen and remove filter (A).

Dispose of filter properly and replace with a genuine John Deere filter.

Coat filter sealing surface with a thin layer of oil.

Tighten filter (A) by hand until sealing ring touches filter housing sealing surface and then tighten a further 3/4 to 1-1/4 turns. Do not overtighten.

Start engine and check for leaks. Retighten filter if necessary.
