Stopping the Tractor
IMPORTANT:
Tractor should be stopped before putting gearshift lever in park (P). If tractor is in motion, park lock will not engage and will even damage transmission.
1.
Stop tractor and move gearshift lever to park (P).
CAUTION:
Always put gearshift lever in park ("P") before leaving the tractor. Leaving the transmission in gear with engine shut off will not always prevent the tractor from moving.
2.
Lower implement to the ground by means of the hydraulic hitch control lever (B).
3.
Move hand throttle (D) backwards to idle position and let the engine run for one or two minutes.
IMPORTANT:
The engine oil will cool down certain engine parts. The sudden stalling of an excessively hot engine may cause serious damage to these parts, due to overheating or lack of lubrication.
4.
Turn key switch to "OFF" position.
CAUTION:
Remove key switch to avoid possible accidents.
