Engine Operation
 CAUTION:
Beware of asphyxiation. Exhaust fumes can damage health and even cause death. If running engine indoors, make sure there is sufficient ventilation.
1.
Check the fuel gauge to confirm the tractor has sufficient fuel.
2.
Set gearshift lever (B) to neutral or park, the group shift lever (C) to neutral and the PTO lever (D) disengaged. The starter motor will not turn over if the gearshift and PTO levers are not in these positions.
3.
Set hydraulic hitch control lever (E) to lowering position (all the way forward).
4.
Check indicator lights. Indicator lights will come on when key switch is set to ON. If some lights do not operate correctly, consult your John Deere dealer.
