Using Liquid Ballast in Tires

Chart 4-Liquid ballasting of tires

CQ199650

45% water, valve at 4 o'clock position

Up to 75% of tire capacity may be used for liquid ballast.

  • Never use more than 75% of tire capacity for liquid ballast in front tires, otherwise the available space for tire deformation will be excessively reduced, causing hardening and subsequent damage to tire.
  • To ballast front and rear tires at 75%, position tire valve in upper position (12 o'clock).
