A - Engine Access Doors

B - Surge Tank

C - Max Cold Line

Cooling system must be clean and in good condition for operation. Loss of pressure results in over heating and loss of coolant.

    Check for:

  • Surge tank coolant level
  • Plugged radiator
  • Leaking hoses
  • Broken fan belt or rotary screen belt
  • Engine fan should be at high speed

Machine is shipped from factory with permanent type 50/50 ethylene glycol antifreeze mix.

Allow engine to cool and open engine access doors (A). Coolant level in surge tank (B) should be at “Max Cold” line (C).

Leave antifreeze in cooling system all year long. If coolant is lost or drained, it must be replaced with the correct coolant and conditioner, (see recommendations given in Fuels and Lubricants section).

To prevent mineral deposits, do not use hard water.

Coolant Conditioner is recommended to protect against engine and cooling system wear. Add 0.9 L (1 qt.) to radiator when coolant is changed, (see recommendations given in Fuels and Lubricants section).
