Chaffer/Sieve Bay Louver Opening (Self-Leveling Shoe)—Fine Adjust

1. CAUTION: Shut OFF engine, set parking brake and remove key to help prevent accidental starting and personal injury.

   NOTE: Procedure must be done if louver openings are not equal between bays. Distance between adjust motors and linkage bar must be set the same to allow louvers to open and close freely (see Chaffer/Sieve Remote Shoe Adjust Motor (Self-Leveling Shoe)--Manual Adjust in this section) before fine adjustments to individual bays are made.

   A - Cap Screws (4 Used)

   B - Cap Screws (4 Used)

   C - Cap Screws (3 Used)

   D - Shield

   Remove cap screws (A—C) and shield (D).

2. 
   H91248-UN-22APR08

   A - Jam Nut

   B - Adjust Link

   Loosen jam nut (A) and turn adjust link (B) clockwise to increase louver opening or counterclockwise to decrease louver opening. Repeat as needed and tighten jam nut once desired gap is set.

3. Install previously removed shield.
