Chaffer or Sieve Indicator—Calibration

A - Set Screw

B - Clearance Gauge

C - Gauge 8 mm (5/16 in.)

Loosen set screw (A) at left-hand rear corner of chaffer (opening in chaffer frame). Open chaffer slowly until opening measures approximately 8 mm (5/16 in.) with combine clearance gauge (B).

Slide opening gauge in or out until gauge reads 8 mm (5/16 in) (C) from side sheet. Tighten set screw at the rear of chaffer.

This procedure to also used to calibrate the sieve.
