Chopper Stationary Knife Blades—Replacing

A - Wing Nut
B - Tension Rod
Shut OFF engine, set parking brake and remove key. Before
performing service or maintenance on raised chopper, use lift actuator
to snap lock-out pins into place.Knife blades are sharp.
Loosen wing nut (A) and position knifebank to the fully disengaged
position.

While supporting knifebank, remove tension rod (B) by pushing
out the right side of the machine. Retain bushing at outer ends of
knifebank for later assembly.

A - Pin
B - Retaining Rod
C - Lock Nuts
Remove pin (A) from retaining rod (B).

Loosen lock nuts (C) on clips holding retaining rod.

Slide retaining rod until it clears knives that need to be replaced.

Reverse knives for additional usage, or replace knives if worn
on both sides.

Reposition retaining rod, install pin and tighten lock nuts.

Position knifebank to chopper and install tension rod (B)
from right side of machine making sure to reposition bushing previously
removed.

Install wing nut (A) to tension rod. Adjust knifebank to desired
position and tighten wing nut.
IMPORTANT: Knifebank must be in the fully disengaged position
for corn.
