Chopper—Lowering

1. CAUTION: Shut OFF engine, set parking brake and remove key.

   A - Latch

   B - Shield

   C - Pins

   D - Quick-Lock Pins

   E - Shield

   F - Chopper Drive Belt

   G - Deflector Door

   H - Lock-Out Pin

   I - Bracket

   Release latch (A) and lift shield (B) over pins (C).

2. Remove quick-lock pins (D) from shield (E) and remove.

3. Remove chopper drive belt (F) from storage position and place on desired speed sheaves.

4. Move deflector door (G) to middle position as shown.

5. Pull lock-out pins (H) rearward and rotate up until handle rests on bracket (I).

6. IMPORTANT: When lowering chopper, verify belt aligns with proper sheaves.

   A - Switch

   Lower chopper fully with switch (A) and verify belt aligns with sheaves.

7. Install previously removed chopper shields.
