General Description
The harvest performance monitor records the amount of grain striking the cleaning shoe (A) and straw walker (B) sensors. Ground speed is measured via sensor (E). Once this factor has been determined, the loss rate appears on analog gauge (C). Analog gauge (C) indicates acceptable grain loss level to the user in relation to the area harvested.
The performance monitor enables the operator to use maximum combine capacity within the previously selected performance range. After the operator has

adjusted the combine and header to suit harvesting conditions, the monitor must likewise be set (adjusted) to these conditions by means of the adjusting/selecting unit (D).
Incorrect adjustment and inadequate servicing of the combine always result in higher grain loss and reduced performance. The causes of grain loss are dealt with in detail in the "Setup and Operation" section. Special attention should be paid to the information provided on "Causes of Grain Loss and Examples" and "Prevention of Grain Loss in General".
