Adjusting Grain Tank Unloading Auger and Feeder Auger Chain Tension

The drive of the unloading auger feeder is powered by chain (A). Adjustment is made by means of nut (B).

The drive of the unloading auger is powered by chain (C). Adjustment is made by means of nut (D).

Adjust the chains as described in "Chain Tensions".

IMPORTANT: Bolt (G) is a safety (shear) bolt which will break on overload in order to protect the drive system. Always replace with original JOHN DEERE part. Tighten it enough to bring the drag arm smoothly in contact with sprocket (H).

NOTE: The combine holds spare shear bolts (A).
