Operational Check of Harvest Performance Monitor
CAUTION:
Do not start up engine.
Requirements:

Road safety switch in field position.

Starter key in position (II).

Separator switch activated.
NOTE:
A second person is required to observe the needle at the display.
1.
Turn potentiometer (A) clockwise as far as it will go.
2.
Place rotary switch (B) in position 2.
3.
Rotary switch (C) and switch (D) should be in middle position.

Checking Sensors:
Tap sensors lightly with a hard object or by dropping some kernels on them. Gauge needles should move.
Sensor auto-testing system is performed whenever they receive supply for the first time. Visualization occurs through loss indicators that remain at the end of the scale for 3 seconds. For straw walker sensors there is a differentiation between auto-test of left-hand and right-hand sensor. If gauge needle shows 45° towards the left, then left-hand sensor is defect or disconnected. If gauge needle shows 45° towards the right, then right-hand sensor is defect or disconnected.
IMPORTANT:
If a fault occurs during the check described above, have machine inspected by your John Deere dealer.
