Changing Hydraulic Oil Filters

Replace hydraulic oil filters:

  • According to intervals specified in "Lubrication Chart, Periodic Service" section.
  • Whenever the hydraulic filter obstruction warning light glows on the dash.

IMPORTANT: Observe utmost cleanliness in area around filter, especially when replacing it.

1. Loosen and remove filters (A).

2. Replace with original John Deere filters.

3. Coat filter sealing surface with a thin layer of oil.

4. Tighten filter (A) by hand until sealing ring touches filter housing sealing surface and then tighten a further 3/4 to 5/4 turns. Do not overtighten.

5. Start up engine and check for leaks. Retighten filters as required.
