Changing Hydraulic Oil

Draining oil:

1. Lower header to ground. Retract reel and unloading auger hydraulic cylinders.
2. Remove drain plug (A) and drain the oil into an appropriate container.
3. Disconnect the hoses from all hydraulic cylinders, the hydraulic valve block return hose and the reel drive system hoses close to the valve. Let the oil flow out of these points.

NOTE: Before disconnecting the hoses clean the connections thoroughly.

4. After draining all oil, reconnect all connections and reinstall the reservoir drain plug (A).

Refilling:

NOTE: Only use recommended oil (see "Fuel, Lubricants and Coolant" section). Carefully clean area around filler neck.

1. Refill with fresh hydraulic oil through filler neck (A) until oil reaches the center of sight glass (B).
2. Run engine. After 15 seconds raise and lower the unloading auger, reel and header a number of times and turn the steering wheel in both directions several times to bleed off the air in the circuit.
3. Engage the separator unit and the header and activate the cylinder speed control several times.
4. Inspect all lines and connections for leaks. Comply with all safety rules.
5. Check the oil level at the reservoir with all hydraulic cylinders fully retracted. Add oil to the reservoir to obtain the correct level, if necessary.
