Automatic Cutting Height Control

Cutting height switch (A) has the function to engage/disengage automatic mode of header cutting height system.

Cutting height adjustment potentiometer (B) determines the header's position in relation to the ground in automatic mode.

Sensitivity adjustment potentiometer (C) changes header raise/lower speed to smoothen automatic control system operation.

Automatic mode initiates when "Return-to-cut" key (D) is pressed.

For rigid headers without sensors, height is indicated by feeder house angle sensor.

The automatic height control ceases to operate whenever one of the manual raise or manual lower keys is pressed. Automatic mode reinitiates when "Return-to-cut" key (D) is pressed.

The height control system may be used together with automatic lateral tilt control.
