300 and 600 Series Rigid Header Float Calibration Procedure

Pressure sensor is calibrated for header flotation installed on combine in float system calibration procedure. Float calibration procedure must be performed when a header is initially hooked up if ground pressure (float) mode of operation will be used.

The following is a step by step procedure that shows how to carry out float calibration.

Step Action Go to:
Prepare Header for Calibration. Couple header to combine. Make sure machine is on a level surface. GO TO Step 1.
1 - Select Diagnostic Mode INFO-TRAK™ monitor is used for diagnostic mode.
Start up the combine while pressing the up/down key on the INFO-TRAK.
Display should indicate:

OK: GO TO Step 2
NOT OK: Check INFO-TRAK Monitor
2 - Select AHC Press the "fan" key on Infotrak until "HCU" is displayed.
Display should indicate:
0000
HCU
OK: GO TO Step 3
NOT OK: See your nearest dealership
3 - Enter float calibration mode. Press the up/down key on INFO-TRAK monitor until obtaining address 31.
Display should indicate:
0031
HCU
Press the "Fan Speed" key on the Infotrak to access float calibration mode 31.
Display should indicate:
0031
FLO
OK: GO TO Step 4
NOT OK: Check INFO-TRAK Monitor
4 - Calibrate float system. With raise/lower switch on the multi-function control handle, lower header until about 100 mm above ground level (header must not touch ground).
Press fan speed knob on INFO-TRAK monitor. Display reads:
0031
HFL
Press resume to float knob on multi-function control handle.
Display should indicate:
0031
EOC
OK: GO TO Step 5
NOT OK: Header does not rise or lower, check hydraulic system.
NOT OK: Display does not change to "HFL", make sure header raise/lower switch is off.
See your nearest dealership
NOT OK: Display "E5X" or "E39" indicates an error. See your nearest dealership
NOT OK: Display does not change from "HFL". See your nearest dealership

Step Action Go to:
5 Storing header calibration data in AHC (Active Header Control). Press "Fan Speed" knob on INFO-TRAK monitor to store all calibration values.
If no errors occurred during calibration, the following will be displayed:

E00
END
If any errors occurred during calibration, previous calibration values are kept and display reads:
EOC
Err
END
OK: Calibration is done. GO TO Step 6.
NOT OK: See your nearest dealership
6 - Reset to normal operation. Turn starter key to position "0" to return automatic control system to normal operation at next machine start-up.
