Check all hose clamps and coolant level.

Drain engine oil and add new oil if it has not been done at the end of the harvest season. See section "Fuel, Lubricants and Coolant".

Check all seals and coolant level.

Crank engine for 5 seconds without starting. This will assure complete engine lubrication.

Procedure:

With combines using ECU it is necessary to disconnect connector (A) by pulling lock latch (B) from ECU (C) and cranking engine for 5 seconds.

Put the connector back in place.

Start engine and run it for approx. 5 minutes at half-rated speed.

Check all lines and seals for leaks. See your John Deere dealer if necessary.
