Chaff Spreader Spread Angle Adjustment

Lateral plate (D) determines the spread angle for the chaff. The plate's spread angle may be adjusted.

I - Increased spread angle:

Used for large chaff (e.g. corn straw), or chaff with excessive moisture, or when a combine is using a larger header.

II - Reduced spread angle:

Used for small chaff (e.g. wheat), or chaff with low moisture content, or when a combine is using a smaller header.

Adjustment procedure:

1. Shut down machine.
2. On a flat surface, use correct tool to loosen bolt (C).
3. Adjust spread angle of lateral plate (D).
