Adjusting Ground Speed for Harvest Performance Monitor

I - If the needle moves counter-clockwise and stays there for more than 20 seconds:

Ground speed is too low and combine is not working at full performance. In this case, increase ground speed until needle returns to center of green sector.

II - If the needle moves clockwise and stays there for more than 20 seconds:

Excessive ground speed and there is elevated grain loss. Reduce ground speed until needle returns to center of green sector.

IMPORTANT: If needle remains in the same position even after ground speed has been reduced, this may be due to plugging. Check and clean, if necessary.

If harvesting conditions change during the course of the day (straw lying down or damp), or if machine adjustment is changed (fan speed), re-adjust performance monitor. The sieve sensors may be moved fore-and-aft to any one of the three cut-outs in the sensor mountings on lateral supports.

Measure grain losses from time to time to determine whether the combine needs to be re-adjusted.
