Feeder House/Header Reverser
IMPORTANT:
During reverser operation, never attempt to force "slugs" through combine by repeated cycling of reverser drive.
Raise reel before engaging reverser. Backing out a crop "slug" into a turning reel may damage it.
1.
I - Disengage header drive (using header engage switch) and back up combine 1-2 m (3-6 ft).
2.
Run engine at slow idle speed.
CAUTION:
High engine speed can cause damage to reverser and feeder house.
3.
Step on left-hand side of reverser pedal and hold pedal down to engage reverser and header.
NOTE:
The pedal must be held down. Otherwise reverser will not engage.
4.
Step on right-hand side of reverser pedal to disengage reverser function.
5.
Engage header again.
6.
Increase engine speed and resume harvesting.
IMPORTANT:
For safety reasons the reverser works only with threshing engaged and header disengaged.
NOTE:
For emergency stop, use quick "STOP" switch (B) on multi-function control handle. In this case, the reverser disengages with the pedal activated; to reengage the reverser, the pedal must be deactivated and then activated again.
