Starting the Engine

CAUTION: For safety reasons, sound horn before starting the engine or operating the combine. Start engine from operator's seat only.

Turn key to position "Start Engine". As soon as engine starts, release key.

IMPORTANT: Never hold key in "Start Engine" position for longer than 20 seconds.

IMPORTANT: If engine does not start within 20 seconds, wait at least two (2) minutes before trying again. Do not try to start engine more than four times.

NOTE: At temperatures below 0°C, the ECU activates an intake air heater through a relay to increase intake manifold air temperature, after starter switch has been turned to position II. During this operation, air intake temperature indicator light (A) will come on. After this light turns off it is possible to start the engine.
