Multi-Coupler for 600 Series Feeder House

This mechanism automatically locks the header in place by means of the locking cable (C).

NOTE: If the combine is not equipped with locking cable (C), the locking pins must be locked in place by hand.

Procedure:

1. Remove cover and clean surface of multi-coupler (B).

NOTE: To prevent damage to the latching cable, a shear bolt is attached to the handle. Attempts to actuate the latching pins with the header on the ground will shear the screw on the handle.

2. Install the multi-coupler (A) on housing (B) of the feeder house and close handle (C).

NOTE: With header attached, latch pins should move freely through receiving holes in header. If latch pins do not extend, make sure that the latching plates on the header are properly adjusted.

3. The locking pins (A) slide through the feeder house locking plates (B) when the multi-coupler is locked in place.

4. Install the multiple connector cover in the header storage position.

NOTE: If the shear bolt breaks, there are three more of them.

IMPORTANT: ONLY use genuine shear bolts because any change in screw quality may damage the mechanism.
