Change a Tire


Removing Wheel

  1. CAUTION:

    A - Guard Rails

    B - Wheel Cap Screws (8 used on front, 16 used on rear)

    C - Wheel Assemblies

    Avoid injury or death. Chock all wheels before servicing tires.

    Park machine on a firm and level surface.



  2. Shut OFF engine, set park brake, and remove key.

  3. Chock all wheels.

  4. Remove guard rails (A) as necessary to access wheels.

  5. Loosen wheel cap screws (B) before lifting harvester off the ground.

  6. Using 20 ton floor jack at proper jack point, slowly raise wheel off the ground.

    NOTE: See Jack Locations section for proper jack placement.

  7. Support machine with floor stand or blocks.

  8. Position wheel lift under the wheel. Fasten a safety chain around upper portion of the tire.

  9. Remove wheel bolts and pull the wheel assembly (C) away from machine.

    CAUTION: Use proper tire handling equipment to pull wheel from machine.


Installing Wheel

    Clean and inspect all fastening hardware before installation. Replace as necessary.



  2. CAUTION: Use proper tire handling equipment to install wheel on machine.

    IMPORTANT: Apply anti-seize to threads of wheel bolts before installing.

    Position wheel (A) using a wheel lift. Guide the wheel onto hub and install wheel cap screws (B). Tighten to specification.

  3. Remove floor stand and lower machine to the ground.

  4. Check wheel cap screw torques again.

  5. Check tire air pressure.

  6. Install all previously removed guard rails (C).
