A - Least Aggresive Angle

B - Mid-level Angle

C - Most Aggressive Angle


  • A—Least Aggressive (approximately 11°) Angle, used in most situations.
  • B—Mid-level Angle, used in situations where other angles do not apply. This is the default angle set at the factory.
  • C—Most Aggressive (approximately 17°) Angle, used in high, and narrow crops to minimize the loss of cane on the sides.

Adjusting the Base Cutter Angle:

  1. CAUTION:

    A - Front Nuts (1 used per side)

    B - Middle Nuts (1 used per side)

    C - Rear Nuts (1 used per side)

    Avoid crushing injury. Use appropriate jack of adequate capacity when adjusting base cutter angle.

    Install a jack under the base cutter gear case.



  2. Remove and retain nut (A) from each side of the gear case.

  3. IMPORTANT: Support the weight of the gear case before loosening nuts.

    Loosen the middle and rear nuts (B and C) on each side of the gear case.

  4. IMPORTANT: Apply Araldite to threads of nuts before installing

    Raise or lower the gear case to desired angle and install previously removed front nuts.

  5. Tighten all nuts to specification.
