A - Cap Screws (3 used per side)
B - Rubber Shield
C - Gear Case Drain Plug
D - Leg Drain Plugs
Avoid gear case oil contamination. Clean area around components
before performing any service.
Park harvester on a level surface.

Run engine, with base cutter engaged, approximately 5 minutes
to warm gear case oil.

Shut OFF engine and remove key. Wait for harvesting functions
to stop completely.

Remove cap screws (A) and rubber side shield (B).

Remove gear case drain plug (C) and leg drain plugs (D). Allow
oil to drain completely.
NOTE: Dispose of waste oil according to all employer and government
environmental guidelines.

Reinstall all three drain plugs.

A - Fill Plug
Remove fill plug (A) from top of gear case.

Fill gear case with 85W140 oil. Allow time for oil to settle.

Check oil level at sight gauge. Level must be at middle of sight
gauge.

Reinstall fill plug, rubber shield, and cap screws.

Start engine, engage base cutter, and allow to run for several
minutes.

Shut OFF engine and remove key. Wait 10 minutes and check oil
level at sight gauge. Add oil as necessary.
