A - Chain Pin
B - Carrier Roller
C - Distance
D - Fitting Base
E - Fitting
The track adjustment procedure should be performed under
the same conditions in which the machine is used. Dirt buildup must
not be removed from the track, if buildup conditions exist on the
job.
Move the harvester forward a distance of twice its length.
Allow the harvester to come to a complete stop when one of the chain
pins (A) is centered on the carrier roller (B).
-
Measure the distance (C) between the track chain and track frame.
| Item | Measurement | Specification |
|
Track Chain to Track Frame | Distance | 32—38 mm (1.25—1.5 in.) |
-
If track tension adjustment is necessary:
-
If measurement is more than specification, the chain is too
tight. Loosen base of grease fitting (D) until grease escapes. Tighten
fitting.
-
If measurement is less than specification, the chain is too
loose. Add grease to fitting (E) until the proper measurement is reached.
