Operator Ability

Machine owners must make sure that operators are responsible,
trained, have read the operating instructions and warnings, and know
how to operate the machine properly and safely.

Age, physical ability, and mental capacity can be factors in
machine-related injuries. Operators must be mentally and physically
capable of accessing the operator station and/or controls, and operating
the machine properly and safely.

Never allow a child or an untrained person to operate the machine.
Instruct all operators not to give children a ride on the machine
or an attachment.

Never operate machine when distracted, fatigued, or impaired.
Proper machine operation requires the operator’s full attention
and awareness.
