NOTE: Round bar concave covers (if installed) should be removed
prior to beginning concave leveling.
Remove shielding as needed to access separator inspection covers.

Remove separator inspection covers (A).
-
NOTE: Removing separator grate provides access for rotating
rotor.
Remove cap screws (A) and separator grate (B).

Use concave adjusts switch to adjust concave up until worm gear
(B) and sector gear (A) are bottomed out in the up position.

S660 Rice Configuration
A - Sector Gear
B - Worm Gear

NOTE: To S660 model rice configuration, use concave adjusts
switch to adjust concave up until worm gear (B) and sector gear (A)
leaving one gear tooth (C) out, as illustrated.
-
Move handle (A) to shift rotor gear case in neutral position
(B).

-
Simultaneously adjust front upper nut (A) and rear upper nut
(C), slowly raising concave until elements are clicking against concave
while rotor is turning. The clicking results from interference between
one of the threshing tines (E) and concave (F).

G - Leveling Distance
H - Toothed Element
I - Concave Bar Width
J - Concave Bar
-
Obtain leveling distance (G) given by the measurement between
the outer edge of concave bar (J) and the end of one of the teeth
of toothed element (H). Leveling distance (G) must be equal to 12
mm (0.47 in) added to concave bar width (I).
-
In small wire and large wire concave, the correct position for
measuring is the ninth bar.
-
In the round bar concave, the correct position for measuring
is the eleventh bar.
IMPORTANT: During the measurement should not be considered the
folded plate which is screwed the Xbar in the concave.
-
If leveling distance (G) is not as required approach or remove
the concave by tightening or loosening rear upper nut (C).
-
Adjust from the upper nut (A) downward until elements are clicking
against concave. Return slowly until clicking ceases. When clicking
stops, return one full turn and tighten the upper locknut.
-
Obtain leveling distance (G) again and carry out adjustments
as necessary to make sure that final measurement is equal to 12 mm
(0.47 in) added to concave bar width (I).
-
Hold front upper nut (A) with a wrench and tighten front lower
locknut (B).
-
Hold rear upper nut (C) with a wrench and tighten rear lower
locknut (D).
-
Adjust front and rear concave stop bolt (A) by tightening bottom
nut (B) until head of bolt (C) is snug against concave. Tighten top
nut (D) while holding bottom nut (B) with the open-end wrench.
