Removing and Installing Take-Up Arm Compression Spring

NOTE: Baler must be empty, gate closed, and arm in down position.

1. Loosen jam nuts (B).

2. Rotate spring until tension is released.

3. Remove nuts and cap screws (A), washers, pipe spacers, and spring assembly.

4. Install spring. Install left-hand threaded eyebolt to upper arm and right-hand threaded eyebolt to lower arm. Secure with two pipe spacers, washers, and cap screws (A).

5. Adjust spring tension. (See ADJUSTING TAKE-UP ARM COMPRESSION SPRING in this section.)
