Operating Baler With Bale Ramp (If Equipped)

causym CAUTION: To prevent injury or damage from a rolling bale, discharge bales on level ground or in such a manner that the bale will not roll.

Optional bale ramp allows the bale to roll away from the baler, minimizing the need to stop and reverse the tractor to eject the bale on level or moderately rolling terrain.

1. Form and wrap bale as usual.

2. Raise gate to eject bale. Hold tractor hydraulic lever until gate is fully raised. Do not stop gate while raising.

Gravity and weight of bale cause ramp to tilt, allowing bale to roll away from the baler. After bale rolls away from ramp, a return spring moves ramp back to horizontal position. Ramp return spring tension is adjustable. (See ADJUSTING BALE RAMP in this section.)

3. Push forward on tractor SCV lever to close baler gate.

4. After gate is completely closed, continue baling operation.
