Hydraulic system for the balers use the following major components:

Tensioning valve (B)-Used to direct oil flow, check flow, and limit hydraulic pressures.

Tension/gate (
double-acting
) cylinders (C)-Used to raise and lower the gate and to control bale tensioning.

If equipped, twine arm (
double-acting
) cylinder (D)-Used to actuate twine arm(s) to wrap bale.

If equipped with double twine arms, flow valve (E)-Used to regulate twine arm "sweep" time.

Optional pickup lift cylinder (not shown)-Used to raise and lower pickup using tractor SCV.
