NOTE:
Refer to your tractor Operator's manual for:
Recommended single acting cylinder outlet
Adjusting rate of cylinder operation for minimum setting (Flow control setting)
Adjusting SCV lever detent
SCV lever lockout (if equipped)
The tractor must have a single remote hydraulic circuit with detent position for cutterbar lift and float.
Tractor SCV lever detent for cutterbar float:

5000/5000 TEN Series John Deere tractors; Joystick control lever detent is in the full forward position.

When cutterbar is in field/operating (horizontal) position, push lever full forward for continuous detent.
Lever must be manually returned to neutral.

6000 and 7000/7000 TEN Series John Deere tractors; Adjust SCV lever for continuous detent.
Lever must be manually returned to neutral.
Move SCV lever lockout to full left position.

8000 Series John Deere tractors; When cutterbar is in field/operating (horizontal) position, push lever full forward and down to lock in float position.
Lever must be manually returned to neutral.
