Adjusting Gauge Wheel Height

IMPORTANT: Operating the pickup too close to the ground can cause tooth breakage.

Gauge wheel is attached to pickup with a shear bolt designed to shear when it strikes an obstruction. Always replace with proper shear bolt.

Pickup gauge wheel (A) is adjustable to allow pickup to follow the ground contour more evenly when operating in rough or irregular conditions.

Place wheel in the top hole position by removing shear bolt (B) and repositioning wheel. Install bolt and elastic stop nut and tighten to specification.

Specification

NOTE: Make sure tire is inflated to 138 kPa (1.4 bar) (20 psi).
