Adjusting Pickup Flotation

1. 328 Baler ; adjust spring (A) to maintain a 25 mm (1 in.) dimension (D) between end of eye bolt (B) and nuts (C).

338 Baler ; tighten both nuts (C) as tight as possible.

2. Check flotation by attaching spring scale (A) to pickup (B). To raise compressor bar, apply upward lift as specified.

Specification

Compressor Bar Lift Pressure -Force 178 N (40 lb force)

  • If lift pressure is less than specification, loosen nuts (C) by turning counterclockwise.
  • If lift pressure is more than specification, tighten nuts (C) by turning clockwise.
