Adjusting Knotter Drive Brake

1. Disconnect lower end of lift link (A) from needle frame. Pull lift link rearward to a 90 degree angle (B) with center line of lift arm (C).

2. Loosen or tighten brake adjusting nuts (D) until 269 N (60 lb force) will move the needle lift arm.

IMPORTANT: Brake retaining bolts (E) must not contact the brake pressure plate.
