Adjusting Needle Lift Link-Wire Baler
Needle lift link (A) controls height of needles in relation to the wire and wire pulleys, and the bale case bottom.
IMPORTANT:
Crank stop, plungerhead, and needle timing must be checked after making needle lift link adjustments.
1.
With needles (G) in home position, clearance (C) for each needle pulley must be below wire (D), as specified, which passes under center wire pulley (E) and over rear wire pulley (F).

Rear end of needle assembly must clear bale case bottom as specified.

3.
Adjust for correct needle clearance by disconnecting the lift link from the needle frame and turning.
NOTE:
After adjusting the length of the lift link (A), previous illustration, hold ball joint parallel to link bar while tightening lock nut (B) against the link.
