Adjusting Twister Hooks

NOTE: Tighten socket-head cap screws through twister hook to 34 N·m (25 lb-ft).

With needles in "home" position, twister hook is properly adjusted when the inside of the point of the hook (pointing rearward) is within maximum clearance (A) specified either side of center of gripper pin (B), when finger pressure is applied to retard the twister hook.

Specification

Point of Hook-to-Center of Gripper Pin -Clearance (A) (Maximum) 9.5 mm (3/8 in.)

1. Move bevel gear to the left and rotate the twister shaft as necessary.

2. Relocate bevel gear on the shaft and secure using spring pin.
