Adjusting Compressor Rods

IMPORTANT: Compressor rod bar should clear highest part of windrow.

Several different positions are possible for the compressor rod bar (A); three different heights (B) with three different angles (C) at each height.

Remove two lock nuts and round-head bolts (D) from each end. Reposition compressor rod assembly at desired height and angle, and secure with lock nuts (E) and round-head bolts.

IMPORTANT: The rear of compressor rods (A) should clear strippers enough to prevent bunching of material. They should not be any higher than the center of auger (B).

Additional angle can be obtained by slightly loosening lock nut (C) and raising or lowering the compressor rod bar to desired angle. Tighten lock nut securely.
