Adjusting Compressor Rods

NOTE: Compressor rod bar should clear highest part of windrow. If not, uneven feeding may result.

Several different positions are possible for compressor rod bar (A); three different heights (B) with three different angles (C) at each height.

Remove two lock nuts and carriage cap screw (D) from each end. Reposition compressor rod assembly at desired height and angle and secure with lock nuts and carriage cap screw.

IMPORTANT: Rear of compressor rods (A) should clear the strippers enough to prevent bunching of material. They should not be any higher than center of auger (B).

Additional angle can be obtained by slightly loosening lock nut (C) and raising or lowering compressor rod bar to desired angle. Tighten lock nut securely.
