Adjusting Carrier Frame Height
NOTE:
Mower-conditioner is shipped from factory with cylinder pin installed in top hole.
Raising carrier frame height is recommended if machine is operated MAINLY with gauge shoes in high position.
When operating with gauge shoes in lowest notch (for highest cut), upfloat can be increased by raising carrier frame.
To raise carrier frame height:
1.
Lower machine completely.
2.
Shut off tractor.
3.
Install hi-lift jack (A) under carrier frame.
4.
Raise carrier frame to release tension from hydraulic cylinder lift.
5.
Remove cap screw and nut (B) and remove cylinder pin (C).
IMPORTANT:
To avoid cylinder pin cap screw from breaking, do not overtighten.
6.
Adjust jack, as necessary, and install cylinder pin in bottom hole (D). Fasten with cap screw and nut. Tighten nut and then back off one turn.
7.
Lower jack (A) and remove from carrier frame.
8.
Repeat on opposite side.
9.
To lower carrier frame height, repeat above procedure and install cylinder pin (C) in top hole.
10.
Check platform float. (See Adjusting Platform Float in this section.)
