Unplugging Machine

1. Disengage PTO.

2. Raise mower-conditioner.

3. Engage PTO to remove plugging.

4. If machine remains plugged, disengage PTO and shut off tractor. Raise both cylinder locks.

5. If plug is under reel, pull pin (A) and raise idler (B) to release reel drive belt tension. Rotate reel.

6. If plug is in conditioner rolls, manually rotate conditioner roll shaft (C) to remove plug.

If plug is not removed, turn float spring cranks until springs are completely loose. Manually rotate conditioner roll shaft (C).

7. After unplugging machine, pull pin (A) and lower idler (B) to tension reel drive belt. Disengage cylinder locks and lower machine to operating position.

8. Adjust platform float springs if necessary. (See Adjusting Platform Float in Operating the Mower-Conditioner section.)
