Adjusting Reel Drive Chain

The reel drive chain is adjusted correctly when there is 8 to 12 mm (5/16 to 1/2-in.) (A) deflection in the chain.

1. Pull pin (B) and lift idler (C). Release pin (B) on top of bracket to hold idler up.

2. Loosen three nuts (A).

3. Adjust bolt (B) until chain is adjusted correctly.

4. Tighten three nuts (A).

5. Tension belt by pulling pin and lowering idler.

6. Adjust reel drive belt. (See Adjusting Reel Drive Belt in this section.)
