Replacing Slip Clutch Lining
1.
Open shield.
2.
Remove cap screw (A), washer, and nut.
3.
Remove gear case (B) and driveline assembly.

4.
Remove six nuts, washers, and springs (A).
5.
Remove clutch plate (B).

6.
Remove hub (A).
7.
Remove eight cap screws and lining (B).
8.
Install new lining and fasten with eight cap screws.
9.
Install hub (A).

10.
Install clutch plate (A). Fasten with six springs, washers, and nuts.
IMPORTANT:
The slip clutch has been designed to furnish protection to the drive train; overtightening will lessen this protection.
11.
Adjust slip clutch by turning adjusting nuts. Set slip clutch dimension (B) to 40 mm (1-9/16 in.) from inside of washer to clutch plate.

12.
Install gear case (B) and driveline assembly.
13.
Install cap screw (A), washer, and nut.
14.
Close shield.
