Replacing Reel Teeth

1. Remove nine cap screws and nuts (A) from three reel tooth bar flanges and brackets.

2. Loosen cap screw (B) and remove tooth bar.

To replace other than the first tooth on right-hand side of reel tooth bar:

3. Remove cap screw, nut, special washer, and tooth (A).

4. Remove flange (B) and pipe bushing (C).

5. Remove teeth as necessary to replace damaged tooth.

If tooth is damaged on left-hand side of reel tooth bar:

6. Remove middle flange (A) and bushing (B).

7. Remove teeth as necessary to replace damaged tooth.

If damaged tooth is the end tooth on left-hand reel tooth bar:

8. Remove cap screw (A) and bracket.

9. Remove flanges (B) and bushing (C).

10. Remove nut (D) and washer (E). Remove broken tooth.

11. Install reel tooth (F), washer (E), and nut (D).

12. Install bushing (C) and flanges (B).

13. Install teeth as necessary. Install pipe bushings and flanges as necessary.

14. Install reel tooth bar.

15. Attach flanges to reel tooth bar brackets. Fasten with nine cap screws and nuts (A).

16. Tighten cap screw (B).

17. Adjust cam follower clearance. (See Adjusting Cam Followers in this section.)
